PAS Bintulu reaches out to Chinese community

KUCHING: The Youths and Muslimat Bintulu Commi ee (MBC) of Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) ran a outreach programme for the Chinese community in Bintulu before Chap Goh Mei.

Under this programme, 200 pieces of ‘bahulu’ (traditional fluffy egg cake) and PAS flyers wri en in Mandarin were distributed to visitors at Bintulu Market.

PAS Bintulu Muslimat Welfare chairperson Zaitun Said said the commi ee received overwhelming response, especially from those celebrating the occasion.

She said the annual outreach programme was meant to enhance the good relationship between PAS and the Chinese community.

“We received a warm welcome from the Chinese community here. Even though we practise different beliefs, we can still live in harmony and unity,” said Zaitun.
