Wizard Within conducts storytelling sessions via Facebook for children

KUCHING: Children can enjoy free online storytelling sessions via Facebook every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3pm from now until the end of the movement control order (MCO).

Presented by Malaysian children’s book publisher Wizard Within, the afternoon sessions are aimed at keeping children entertained through the long days of the MCO.

As the Wizard Within team produce customised books featuring children’s names, they are asking their page followers to send them three names to put into each story.

The book used for the storytelling sessions is ‘Sleepover Adventure’.

Although they are reading from the same book each day, it is not the same story.

The beginning and the ending are the same, but there are two middle activities that change based on the children’s names.

The Wizard Within team created 52 unique activity stories, two for every letter of the alphabet. Using different names each day showcases this feature of the book.

The team plans to hold more online events to entertain and educate during this MCO period.
