Blessed Sacrament Church BDC among places sanitised

KUCHING: The Fire and Rescue Department continued with sanitisati­on works to curb the spread of Covid- 19 in various places throughout the state yesterday.

Sanitisati­on works were carried out at Blessed Sacrament Church in BDC, Masjid Demak in Kampung Demak Baru, Imperial Hotel Kuching and Boulevard Restaurant, starting 9am.

At Blessed Sacrament Church, sanitisati­on works were conducted by 12 fire personnel and 14 officers from the Kuching South City Council ( MBKS) in an area of 8,453 square metres.

At Imperial Hotel in Jalan Datuk Tawi Sli, the operation was participat­ed by eight fire personnel.

Works were conducted on 10 floors of the hotel which cover a total area of 13,670 square metres. Also sanitised was Boulevard Restaurant, an area of 3,000 square metres.

Works continued at Emart Matang shophouses, Imperial Riverbank Hotel and at the Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarte­rs, starting 4pm

In Kota Samarahan, similar works were carried out at Summer Mall, National Institute of Public Administra­tion ( Intan), Institute for Rural Advancemen­t ( Infra), Taman Uni Garden and ELLY Supermarke­t.
