Rep thanks PN govt for assistance

-

MARUDI: As an elected representative for a large state constituency, Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau is thankful to the Perikatan Nasional ( PN) government under the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for assisting the people in his rural constituency during the duration of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

When met recently, Dennis said he was initially worried that the assistance would not reach the remote areas of his constituency due to the terrain and distance but with dedication and commitment the aid was able to be distributed to the people who received them gladly.

He said the aid was not only given to the very needy and the B40 group but also those in the M40 group, regardless of race, and had brought much relief to them.

On another matter, the assemblyman said he had been approached by people from the remote longhouses that they needed financial assistance for the pocket money of their school going children and for transport fees to the nearest clinic.

He said he advised them to bring their requests to the District Office to be registered with the Welfare Department.
