Batu Niah fire station set to be operational by June 1
MIRI: The long- awaited Batu Niah Fire Station is expected to be operational by this June 1.
A simple handover ceremony was held yesterday between
Public Works Department ( JKR) Sarawak divisional engineer Ellanovennus Egi Johnson and Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Law Poh Kiong.
“We are hoping that all plans and operations would go smoothly, without any problem, in order for us to give the best services to the people, especially those in Niah and the surrounding areas,” said Law.
Costing RM12 million, the Batu Niah fire station project reached completion in 2016.
