Digi Abadi bundles free insurance coverage

SUBANG JAYA: Digi Telecommun­ications Sdn Bhd (Digi) and AXA Affin Life Insurance are offering Digi Abadi, Malayisa’s first prepaid internet plan bundled with free life insurance cover.

According to Digi’s press statement yesterday, this limited-edition prepaid plan available online ensures 100,000 Malaysian customers aged 30 to 55 years stay connected and well protected.

To subscribe, just purchase a starter kit at RM28 inclusive of life insurance cover up to RM40,000 for death as well as accidental death benefit and funeral expenses.

The plan offers 3GB fast internet quota for 30 days, 10 sen per minute for calls and SMS to all networks and 365day SIM validity.

The plan will subsequent­ly renew at RM20 every 30 days for continued life insurance coverage and internet quota.

The longer customers stay on the plan the more loyalty bonuses they enjoy, up to RM55,000 life insurance coverage and 6GB internet quota.

Digi Abadi is open to new registrati­ons only. Existing Digi customers will need to register a new line. Each customer is entitled to only one line with one life insurance policy.

“We understand the urgency to be insured while managing spending on essentials such as connectivi­ty. So, we developed this plan to give customers peace of mind knowing they are protected without any additional financial commitment,” said Digi’s chief marketing officer Loh Keh Jiat.

Meanwhile, AXA Affin Life Insurance chief executive officer Rohit Nambiar congratula­ted Digi for creating such an innovative propositio­n for their customers by making protection accessible with internet while they stay safe at home.

“We are honoured to partner Digi once again to inaugurate another first-in-the-market offering that could potentiall­y bridge the protection gap for Malaysians,” said Rohit.

“I am confident that this collaborat­ive approach would enable us to offer products and services that best suit individual needs, reinforcin­g our purpose to empower people to live a better life,” said Rohit.

The statement added that customers will receive an extra RM5,000 in death benefit and additional 1GB on every 13th renewal, with a maximum of three upgrades that will increase their Internet quota to 6GB Internet and death benefit up to RM45,000.

Accidental death benefit and funeral expenses remain at RM8,000 and RM2,000 respective­ly.
