Ni Hsin Marketing to market masks, PPE and hand sanitisers
KUCHING: Ni Hsin Resources Bhd’s (Ni Hsin) wholly- owned subsidiary Hsin Marketing Sdn Bhd (NHM) has signed a collaboration agreement and distributorship agreement with WTK Manufacturing Sdn Bhd ( WTKM) and WTK Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd ( WTKT) respectively, to market its fabric protective mask, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hand sanitiser domestically and internationally through the latter’s network in Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, US, Middle East and South Asia.
According to the Collaboration Agreement signed with WTKM, the latter will be appointed as the distributor for the marketing, supply, sale and distribution of the NHM’s fabric protective mask, PPE and hand sanitiser to the Malaysian government, via tenders, through close collaboration with each other and for mutual benefit of the two parties.
Meanwhile, the distributorship agreement signed with WTKT will be for the marketing and distribution of fabric protective mask including NHM’s branded Masketeer Coolmax Fibre Protective Mask, PPE and hand sanitiser in the local and overseas markets.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed that both agreements are valid until December 31, 2022 and subject to extension by mutual consent in writing by all parties.
WTKM and WTKT are principally engaged in the business of design and build prefabricated operation theatre system, medical gas pipeline equipment, medical furniture, nurse call system, smart dispensary system, medical equipment, medical devices, PPE, hand sanitiser and others. Besides operating in Asia Pacific, the company has expanded its business to other regions such as Africa, Europe, US, Middle East and South Asia.
“The rationale of the agreement is to enable Ni Hsin to leverage on the expertise network of WTKM and WTKT in the medical industry to facilitate the expansion of our protective mask, personal protective equipment and hand sanitiser business division,” said NHM managing director Khoo Chee Kong.
“This is a new area for us to further diversify our income stream, and it is expected to contribute to the company’s earnings for the financial year ending December 31, 2020.”
“As shortages of personal protective equipment continue to plague hospitals and healthcare facilities around the world, we see a good opportunity to go ahead and fulfil the surge in demand.
“We are also determined to contribute towards the national stockpile, and help Malaysia cope with the shortage problems as reported in the news recently.”
He said Ni Hsin believes that wearing face masks will become a new normal healthy social habit even when the pandemic is over, adding that WTKM and WTKT have already received encouraging enquiries from companies locally and overseas for the products and are currently working towards finalising the orders soon.
