Lorry rams into telephone post

SARIKEI: The front windscreen of a lorry was shattered when it rammed into a telephone post at Jalan Keranji here around 8.30 pm Thursday.

The driver who was transporting furniture from Kuching was apparently unaware of the telephone post by the roadside.

The mishap knocked down the telephone post with cables hanging in front of the lorry.

According to Sarikei District Fire and rescue Services Department chief, Mahmudin Narudin, the 45-year old lorry driver from Peninsular Malaysia and two attendants were not hurt in the incident.
