KTS donates 10,000 Covid-19 test kits to Sabah govt

KOTA KINABALU: KTS Group donated 10,000 Covid-19 test kits to the state government.

Managing director Datuk Henry Lau said the donation was to ensure the state was well- equipped to combat the challenges that come with Covid-19.

He added that it was the company’s way to recognise the sacrifices made by frontliner­s who worked tirelessly to save the lives of those affected by the virus.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal accepted the donation yesterday on behalf of the state government handed over by KTS Trading Sabah area operation manager Wong Kee Mee.

KTS Group also handed over several equipment for the use of frontline personnel of the State Health Department, including 6,000 pieces of protective medical coverall ( sterile), 6,000 pieces of isolation gowns ( non- sterile), 24,000 pieces of medical vinyl examinatio­n gloves, 12,000 pieces of medical boot covers, 6,000 pairs of medical goggles, 6,000 pieces of face shields, 56,000 pieces of KN95 medical protective masks, 107,850 pieces of disposable medical masks and 6,000 pieces of medical head cover.

All items were essential, especially disposable items, said Lau, to enable frontliner­s to perform their duties efficientl­y.

Also present at the handing over ceremony were KTS Trading Sabah area office senior manager Paul Hii, KTS Trading Kota Kinabalu branch manager Wong Nyuk Tai and See Hua Sabah acting operation manager Toh Lu Hung.
