Family left homeless after house razed in Niah
MIRI: A family of 11 were made homeless after fire razed their house at KM62, Kampung Labau, Niah at around 7.40am yesterday.
In a statement to the media, Sarawak Fire and Rescue ( Bomba) operations centre said it received a distress call on the incident at around 7.43am.
“Upon receiving the distress call, a team of personnel from Bomba Batu Niah was immediately dispatched to the scene.
“However, upon their arrival at the scene, the house was already destroyed 100 percent in the incident,” it said.
Fortunately, no one was injured as none of the family members was at home when the fire occurred.
