Baby crocodile caught in drain in Senadin
MIRI: A baby crocodile, which was spotted in a drain at Jalan Maigold, Promin Jaya in Senadin, has been captured on Monday night.
Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) officer in charge Captain ( PA) Usman Harto said in a statement that the reptile measuring two metres was caught following a complaint.
“We received a call from the man who sells burger at the residential area who had earlier on spotted a crocodile inside the drain. Fear for the safety of the residents there, he contacted APM for assistance,” he said.
The team arrived at the scene at 10.15pm and took about half and hour to catch the baby crocodile which is estimated to weigh 15kg. The reptile was later handed over to Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) for further action.
