Five Zone 11 Lions Clubs to hold joint installation, induction ceremony
MIRI: Five Lions Clubs of Zone 11 in Region 4 of District 308A2 will hold a joint installation of new board of directors and induction of new members at Pullman Miri Waterfront Hotel here tomorrow from 6.30pm onwards.
According to a press statement, the five Lions Clubs are Lions of Miri Host, Lions
Club of Miri Central, Lions Club of Marudi Mandarin, New Century Lions Club of Miri Resort City and Lions Club of Miri Seahorse.
The event will be graced by Lions Club district governor Chieng Yew Hee, who will be joined by special guests Lions Club International director Datin Ellis Suriyati Omar and
Senator Alan Ling.
Apart from the installation and induction ceremony, there will also be a presentation of awards to deserving Lions of 2019 and 2020 as well as to those who have donated generously to the District Foundation or Lions Clubs International Foundation ( LCIF) in which recipients will receive the District Fellow or Melvin Jones Fellow plaques respectively.
Other highlights include a special handing over of donations to three beneficiaries namely the Kuching Lions Nursing Home, Bintulu Lions Care and Sarawak Association for the Deaf Northern Region (SADNR).
