SIBU: The Fashion & Bridal Fair at Wisma Sanyan last weekend showcased not only garments and accessories for newlyweds, but also items and other materials meant to complement other preparations for one’s big day.

Hosted by Wisma Sanyan management and jointly organised by designers from Kuching, namely TeeCode, MCN Studio, Style Series, JK Studio and Yacutha, the event also highlighted the exclusive ‘Designer-Piece’ from MCN Studio, together with other offerings from cosponsors Tanahmas Hotel, Idees Decorating and ZOSO Music.

“In facing challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic and complying with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the authorities, there is also a need to enliven our lives with a positive outlook and through cheerful events,” said Wisma Sanyan in a statement.

After hosting the Fashion & Bridal Show, it would move on to its signature culinary event, ‘Pesta Santapan Borneo Sanyan 2020’, set to run from Sept 15 to Oct 18.

“This non-profit event is meant to reach out and help parents and families who have been greatly affected by Covid-19,” it added.

Wisma Sanyan’s next events would be its ‘Book Fair’ to run from Oct 23 to Nov 1, and the ‘Shoes Fair’ (Nov 6-15), before closing the year with its monthlong ‘Christmas Celebrations’ from Dec 1 until Jan 3 next year.
