Exhibition to feature ‘Belt and Road’ Asean higher education

KUCHING: The ‘Belt and Road’ Asean Higher Education Exchange and Tour Exhibition will be launched on Nov 26.

The event seeks to provide Sarawak students, teachers, and staff with opportunit­ies to obtain special funds to support projects to receive high-quality internatio­nal education, through cultural and knowledge exchanges, to share the developmen­t opportunit­ies brought by the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative to countries along the route, while improving quality of life of students studying abroad.

The exhibition will involve nearly 30 top universiti­es from China and overseas universiti­es, such as University of Science and Technology of China, Beijing Normal University, China University of Mining and Technology, Anhui Medical University, China Medical University, China University of Petroleum, and Jinan University.

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Research Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong is expected to deliver an opening speech at the event.

The Internatio­nal Talent Training Programme (ITTP) will also be launched during the event.

ACEC Associatio­n will share with students new prospects from traditiona­l education and on the ITTP with all Sarawakian secondary schools.

Various intensive courses are being carried out in collaborat­ion with Shanghai Internatio­nal Studies University, Dalian University of Technology, and Beijing Language and Culture University.

Students need not worry about the language barrier as ACEC Associatio­n will assist them in enhancing their language level from zero to advanced level.

ACEC Associatio­n also offers the Internatio­nal English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Through ITTP, Sarawakian­s will have more opportunit­ies to study abroad with scholarshi­ps.

ACEC Associatio­n will also assist students from both Malaysia and China with scholarshi­ps.
