CMCO: 3 fined for travelling in one car
KUALA LUMPUR: Three foreign nationals were fined RM700 each, in default 14 days’ jail, by the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday for travelling together in a car during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) when not more than two persons are allowed to travel in a private vehicle at one single time during the period.
Magistrate Mohamad Fared Abdul Latif meted out the fine on Thaung Myint and Md Nay Lin, both Myanmar nationals, and Bangladeshi Sabbir Bhuiyan.
The three men, aged between 35 and 39, pleaded guilty to the charge.
The three men, represented by lawyer P Suthes, were caught travelling together in the car at a roadblock in front of One Maxim Building, Jalan Sentul here at 9.30am on Oct 20. — Bernama
