Former condominium manager charged with CBT, issuing false receipt
KUALA LUMPUR: A former manager at the management office of a condominium in Setapak here was charged in two courts here yesterday for criminal breach of trust (CBT), involving RM300 in rental payment for a parking lot and issuing a false receipt for the payment last year.
A K Gopalakrishnan, 51, pleaded not guilty to both the charges.
In the Sessions Court before judge Nor Hasniah Ab Razak, Gopalakrishnan, in his capacity as manager at the Heritage Condominium Management Office, Jalan Pahang, Setapak here, was charged with committing CBT by asking a resident to bank in RM300 into his bank account for rental payment of a parking lot.
The offence was allegedly committed at the condominium management office on March 23, 2019.
He was also charged before Magistrate Mohamad Fared Abdul Latif with issuing an official receipt, which he knew was forged, for the payment, at the same place between April 29 and July 29, 2019.
Nor Hasniah allowed him bail of RM2,000 in one surety, while Mohamad Fared set bail at RM3,000 with one surety and also ordered Gopalakrishnan to report himself at the nearest police station once a month.
Both courts set Dec 14 for mention. — Bernama
