Wisma Saberkas Cluster records five new cases

KUCHING: Sarawak has six active Covid-19 clusters, with five new cases recorded in the Wisma Saberkas Cluster and one new case in the Greenhill Cluster yesterday.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said with the additional five new cases, the total number of positive cases in the Wisma Saberkas Cluster stood at 16, including the index cases.

A total of 619 individual­s were screened in this cluster, with 593 turning up negative and 10 still awaiting results.

With the additional one new case yesterday, the Greenhill Cluster remained the largest, with 63 positive cases including the index case.

A total of 730 individual­s had undergone screening – 662 were found negative, while five still awaiting results.

No new case was recorded in the Baki Cluster – the number of positive cases in this cluster remained at 30, including the index case. It did not include the 10 cases that had been detected and recorded in Perak.

A total of 2,943 individual­s had been screened, and 2,913 were found negative.

The Bah Arnab Cluster also did not record any new positive case, with 12 the total positive cases including the index case.

Putra Cluster in Bintulu also did not record any new case. The total positive cases remained at five, including the index case.

Seladah Cluster also did not record any new case. It had seven positive cases, including the index case.

Kuching District remained a Red Zone, with 117 locally transmitte­d cases recorded over the last 14 days.

Miri, Lundu and Limbang districts maintained their Yellow Zone status – with 20, four and one active cases recorded, respective­ly, over the last 14 days.

The other 36 districts in Sarawak had remained ‘Green’.
