Chemerai Mering was reported missing after she failed to return

home since she went out of her longhouse last Friday.

According to the report lodged by her brother at Julau Police

Station last Saturday afternoon, Chemerai went out last Friday morning to sort out official matters at Pakan Welfare Office. Since then, Chemerai did not return home and neither did anyone see her anywhere, he said.

They believe something could have happened to her while she was walking from the main road towards the longhouse.

Based on information gathered from the longhouse folks, she could have gone missing in Sungai Marau Salak, Entabai, where they found her belongings such as torchlight, medicines, clothes, toothbrush and bag, her brother said, adding the location was about half an hour’s walk to Rumah Lingoh.

The plastic bag in which she put her belongings was torn, but it did not provide any clue on what could have happened to her.
