Yakult offers interactive virtual factory tours
KUCHING: Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd is now offering interactive virtual factory tours where the public can experience the process of making Yakult, the popular probiotic yogurt drink, from the comfort of their own homes, at schools, or while on the go.
Participants can sign up for free and catch the tour guides sharing and moderating the virtual tours live from the Yakult factory in Seremban.
During the virtual 20- to 30minute tours, there will be an explanation on the production process, quiz, as well as question and answer session where participants can pose questions to Yakult public relations officers, who will serve as tour guides.
Participants can also request their preferred language during registration.
Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Hiroshi Hamada said the world has changed with the Covid-19 pandemic where most activities that used to take place outside one’s home such as shopping, entertainment, meals, exercise, school, and even medical consultations have caused people to shi to online and adapt to this new normal.
“Therefore, we decided to launch our virtual factory tour as a replacement for our usual physical tour, which is currently unavailable at this moment. We believe through this method, we can continue to educate our consumers and to encourage them to keep their gut function strong through regular consumption of probiotics.
“Seventy per cent immunity is located in the gut, thus a strong gut is essential for strong immunity. Thus, we encourage everyone to sign up for this interactive virtual factory tour as it is a great learning opportunity,” he said in a statement.
The interactive virtual factory tour is in line with the Yakult’s corporate philosophy, which is preventive medicine (the concept of prevention is better than cure), healthy intestines lead to long life, and delivering good health to as many people as possible.
The virtual tour is now open for registration at www.yakult.com.my.
It will be conducted every Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 4pm.
