BCCK’s The Raintree Restaurant offers Christmas treats
KUCHING: The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is offering Christmas treats at The Raintree Restaurant.
The festive feast of appetisers, mains, meats, and desserts are available from RM69 ne for the Festive Christmas Lunch, Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas Night Set Dinner, and Christmas Roast.
Guests can also order a whole roast turkey for year-end festivities at home.
In a press release yesterday, BCCK said the three-course Festive Christmas Lunch available daily until Dec 30 features a hearty Cream of Wild Mushroom and Walnuts Starter, with a choice of Raintree Restaurant speciality main courses. Online bookings are RM69 ne per person, while walk-ins are RM75 ne .
The main course options are Roasted Ballotine Chicken Served with Sundried Tomato and Pumpkin, Brussels Sprouts, and Soubise Sauce; Grilled Sirloin Steak Accompanied with Sundried Tomato and Pumpkin, Potato Confit, Broccoli and Caramelised Onions; or Honey Glazed Salmon with Spinach, Pumpkin, Brussels Sprouts, and Capsicum Salsa with Hollandaise Sauce.
The Festive Christmas Lunch is then followed by a delicious dessert of Saxon Geol Christmas Bread Pudding Brûlée with Warm Cranberry Vanilla Sauce.
The four-course Christmas Eve Dinner on Dec 24 is priced online at RM120 ne for adults and RM60 ne for children, while walk-ins are priced at RM140 ne for adults and RM60 ne for children.
“The dinner begins with an appetiser of House Made Salmon Gravlax, Blinis, Beetroot Achars, Chuka Wakame, Parmesan Sable, Ponzu Dressing and Ebiko, followed by a starter of Cream of Bako Tom Yam Velout, Crispy Prawn Wantan with Bread Rolls and Butter.
“The main course is the Land and Sea Platter featuring Double Chops Sous Vide Lamb Rack, Turkey Roulade, Mexican Grilled
Seabass and Roasted Vegetables, Potato Gratin, Sarawak Pineapple Salsa with Sarawak Black Pepper Sauce, and Cranberry Butter Sauce. The meal is topped off with a dessert of Homemade Yule Pudding with Cinnamon Vanilla Creme,” added the press release.
The Christmas Night Set Dinner will be a four-course meal on Dec 25 with online bookings and walkins set at RM188 ne per couple.
The meal starts with a starter of Warm Smoked Duck Salad with Orange Segments and WalnutApple Salad and Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup.
The Main Courses include Pilaf Rice, Italian Spaghetti Bolognese, Blackened SpiceRubbed Turkey Skewer, Baja Mexican Prawn Skewer, Breaded Fish, Wok Fried Mongolian Beef, Assorted Vegetables with Peas accompanied with Chilli Salsa, Tartare Dip and Raintree BBQ Sauce, followed by a dessert Yule Sticky Toffee Pudding, Gula Apong Caramel, and Ice Cream.
The Christmas Roast is served on Christmas Day from 11.30am to 2.30pm and requires two days advanced booking.
Its generous portion serves six to eight people, with seasonal favourites such as Roasted Lamb Leg or Roasted Topside Beef for RM250 ne , Whole Roasted Duck for RM55 ne , and Whole Roasted Chicken for RM45 ne .
The Christmas Eve Dinner, Festive Christmas Lunch, Christmas Night Set Dinner, and Christmas Roast are all available for dine in and takeaways at the same price, for those who wish to savour a Raintree Restaurant Christmas feast in the comfort of their own homes.
