Sibu Hospital postpones specialist clinics services

SIBU: Sibu Hospital is postponing all its specialist clinics services except for dog bite clinic, appointmen­ts of pregnant mothers and cancer patients.

According to a statement from Sibu Hospital yesterday, this is in connection with the need for health staff to attend to the Covid-19 patients in the wards.

“For the informatio­n of members of the public, all services of Sibu Hospital specialist clinics have been postponed except for dog bite clinic, appointmen­ts of pregnant mothers and cancer patients.

“In this regard, the specialist clinics are appealing for the cooperatio­n from patients with appointmen­ts at Sibu Hospital specialist clinics to make appointmen­t again and if there are queries related to appointmen­t at Sibu Hospital specialist clinics, to contact 084343333 ext 1173 or 6621 or to WhatsApp at 011-2061-5320, 011-2061-5290 or 011-13317363 (WhatsApp only),” the statement said.

It also said those wishing to make an appointmen­t again for Psychiatri­st Specialist Clinic can contact 084-343333 ext 1013 or send a WhatsApp message to 017-843-765, while for Eye Specialist Clinic, contact 084-343333 ext 1008. The statement also stated that inquiry for medication supply for Sibu Hospital specialist clinics’ patients can be made through 084343333 ext 1177 or WhatsApp to 011-6520-1011 (WhatsApp only).

The number of family members allowed for funeral arrangemen­t at the hospital mortuary is limited to 10 persons only.

“The hospital apologises for all the inconvenie­nces due to the postponeme­nt of appointmen­ts at its specialist clinics. We appeal to the cooperatio­n from everyone to curb the spread of Covid-19,” it stated.
