Asajaya now a Yellow Zone following detection of one local infection

KUCHING: Asajaya District turned into Yellow Zone yesterday, following the detection of a locally-transmitte­d Covid19 infection in the district, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

Bau District, on the other hand, changed its status to Orange after having recorded 22 cases of local transmissi­ons in the last 14 days, it added in a statement.

Meradong, Kuching, Samarahan, Julau, Subis, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu districts remained Red zones, with a combined 2,514 locally-transmitte­d cases reported over the past 14 days.

Kanowit, Betong, Song, Bukit Mabong, Dalat and Sri Aman districts remained Orange zones, with a total of 172 locally-transmitte­d cases reported in the last 14 days.

Beluru, Sarikei, Lundu, Selangau, Saratok, Sebauh, Tatau, Pakan, Serian and Belaga districts remained Yellow zones, having recorded a combined 71 locally-transmitte­d cases over the past 14 days.

“The other 13 districts in Sarawak have maintained their Green Zone status,” said SDMC.
