PBK aspiring candidate seeks to address unresolved issues in Opar
KUCHING: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Opar aspiring candidate Freedy Misid said he will address unresolved issues in the constituency.
The 40-year-old cited Native Customary Rights (NCR) land as the number one issue.
According to him, there is still no properly developed crop for smallholders and no access road to their land.
“Of course, the Opar Rural Growth Centre and Kampung Selampit Bridge remain unfulfilled promises by the previous and current governments for many years.
“Treated water supply too is an unresolved issue in Opar, while internet coverage is still a huge problem for everyone, especially in times when students and teachers need to use the internet to communicate during the Movement Control Order,” he said in an interview.
On his chances in Opar, which is currently held by Datuk Ranum Mina from Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), he said only God knows.
“I will do my best and leave the rest in God’s hands,” he said.
Freedy said voters in Opar and Sarawak as a whole should vote for PBK so that the party can capture the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) and regain Sarawak’s rights as a nation.
“We will first combat all corruption practices, reshuffle policies, and implement systems that are proactive, productive, and effective. Our system and policy must be people centric to set Opar citizens and Sarawakians free from bondage,” he added.
