-

SIBU: Residents of Sentosa Resettlement Scheme here are urged to give their full cooperation to the authorities in ensuring the success of enhancement movement control order (EMCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19 in that area.

Nazatusyima Bujang the councillor in-charge of Sentosa area, said for a start, parents must keep an eye on their children to ensure they stay indoor.

“Everyone has to play their part to break the chain of infection,” she said when

contacted yesterday.

In a press statement Thursday night, Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee (SDDMC) said the EMCO would be enforced in Sentosa Resettlement Scheme (p2) from 12.01am Feb 27 to 11.59pm March 12

The committee said this was due to the high number of Covid19 cases in the area.

Sentosa Resettlement Scheme (phase 2), covers Jalan Sentosa, Jalan Sentosa Timur and Lorong Sentosa Utara 7.

Nazatusyima also reminded the residents not to share any unverified information on the social media. Instead, they should wait for announcement from the relevant authorities.
