Missing foreigner feared drowned
SIBU: A foreign national, 67, is feared drown after he fell into Rejang River from a boat berthed at a shipyard in Sungai Bidut here on Feb 25.
Head of the Civil Defence Force here Amy Abdul Kadir has identified the body as that of Kyan Ming, a Myanmar national.
“He is believed to be to have fallen into the river while on his way to the toilet located at a ship berthed nearby,” she said in a statement yesterday.
A search and rescue operations involving the police, marine, Civil Defence Force and the military was launched yesterday to locate the missing person.
