H&L hands over charity bags for needy to Hope Place

KUCHING: Local supermarke­t chain H&L Sdn Bhd (H&L) recently handed over 74 charity bags sold at its outlets in Kuching and Samarahan along with 20 charity bags donated by the public to Hope Place Kuching for distributi­on to the needy.

Its marketing officer Lianny Bujang said the small gesture from H&L was to help and support families in need.

“This year’s charity bags are a little different from past years. Our team decided to include a box of face masks,” Lianny said in a statement

Earlier this month, H&L announced the sale of these charity bags at selected outlets in Kuching, Samarahan and Siburan on social view to help those affected by the pandemic.

“In conjunctio­n with the soft opening of H&L Xtra at Eco Mall Petrajaya, we set up a donation bin for customers to drop food and general essential items,” Lianny said, adding that H&L will continue supporting Hope Place.
