Tasik Biru, Serembu reps lead the way during vaccinatio­n programme in Bau

BAU: Tasik Biru assemblyma­n Dato Henry Harry Jinep and Serembu assemblyma­n Miro Simuh each received their first dose of the Pfitzer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine at Singai Health Clinic in Kampung Atas here yesterday.

Also receiving the jab at the same venue was Bau District officer Anielia Siam.

Henry, who shared his experience on Facebook, said he woke up at 6am in anticipati­on of getting vaccinated.

Henry hoped that this would encourage and convince more people in Bau District to register for the vaccinatio­n programme.

“As at today (yesterday), 20,000 people have registered for vaccinatio­n in Bau District. Don’t wait, register quickly. It’s free of charge and there’s no pain,” he added.

Expressing similar sentiments, Miro also called on more Sarawakian­s to register for the vaccinatio­n programme.

“Taken first dose of vaccine (yesterday). We hope everyone aged 18 years and above would start registerin­g for Covid-19 vaccinatio­n. Together, we fight Covid-19,” he said.
