View Ahbeng’s artwork at Pustaka

KUCHING: Catch Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s quarterly Sarawakiana Exhibition on Visual Arts highlighting works of the late Raphael Scott Ahbeng before March 31.

The prominent abstract Borneo artist born 1939 in Lundu received his education at St Stephen’s Bau Primary School and Tanjong Lobang School (now Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang, Miri).

He was also a former Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) English broadcaster and columnist of ‘Beng’s Sunday’ for Sarawak Tribune in the 1980s.

His paintings being exhibited at the Reference Area on the first floor of the library from 10am to 5pm include ‘Margherita’, ‘Pelagus’, ‘Crab Catches, Sarawak’, ‘Ikan’ and ‘Summer Breeze’.

Visitors are reminded to adhere with the library’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
