Sheda inks MoU with Unimas on research, human capital devt
KUCHING: Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) for collaboration in research and human capital development.
Unimas vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suadi represented the university in exchanging the MoU with Sheda president Dr Christopher Ngui.
“The MoU shall tap on
Unimas’ research expertise, bringing all the best minds together and align all efforts to develop timely real-world research works and other academic and non-academic programmes for the advancement of Sheda members, Unimas faculty members and students, the housing industry and ultimately the Sarawak state at large,” said Sheda in a statement yesterday.
Present at the exchange were Sheda deputy president
Augustine Wong, secretarygeneral Dr Richard Tan and past president Zaidi Ahmad.
From Unimas were dean, Faculty of Engineering Assoc Prof Dr Siti Noor Linda Taib, dean, Faculty of Built Environment Prof Nurakmal Abdullah Goh Tuo, deputy dean, Faculty of Engineering Prof Dr Andrew Ragai Henry Rigit, deputy dean, Faculty of Built Environment Gui Hun Chuen and lecturer, Faculty of Engineering Dr Lee Yee Yong.
