‘PVATM Kapit among well-organised associations in S’wak’
KAPIT: Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit has praised the Kapit branch of the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM) for continuing to remain relevant since it was first established over 30 years ago.
Speaking when officiating the branch’s annual general meeting here on Saturday, he said the branch has not only remained active all these decades but has witnessed improvements in its management and administration.

office to serve members in need. Also, you are working hard on the proposed ‘Kampung Veteran’ along Jalan Bukit Goram for your members,” he said in his address.
He reminded the branch commi ee that they all play an important role in serving the interests of their members, and stressed the importance of working together as a team to achieve the desired results.
Jamit also pointed to the appointment of armed forces veterans as local leaders to serve their respective communities, as proof that the government recognises their ability to continue contributing to society.
“Even though you have retired from active service, your discipline and experience are a valuable asset to the community,” he said.
At the function, Jamit announced minor rural project funds amounting to RM10,000 for PVATM Kapit to run its activities.
Those present included branch advisor Temenggong Wilfred Billy Panyau, chairman Martin Bilun and branch administrative officer Usa Dana.
