They were donated in connection with World Red Cross/Red Crescent Day 2021.

Earlier on, Chua said they also received a donation of an airconditioner donated by Joseph Chong, who is a member of MRC Sibu.

“On this special day, we would like to thank all those who have always contributed in cash or kinds to us. Without the support and cooperation from all parties, the activities of MRC Sibu District cannot be carried out smoothly, especially during this critical time.

“We also hope to work with all parties in this time of Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.

Chua also said the celebration of World Red Cross/Red Crescent Day this year was held moderately, following the imposition of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

They also provided a special-edition certificates of appreciation to blood donors who came and donated blood at the drive yesterday.
