‘Covid-19 vaccination registration still valid even if address not displayed’

-

KUCHING: The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply has confirmed that Covid19 vaccination registration is still valid even if the registrant’s current address details are not displayed on the Vaccination page of the MySejahtera app.

The committee said on Twitter yesterday that updating one’s address would not affect one’s place in the queue for the Covid19 vaccine.

The committee said this in response to social media claims that registration was invalid if the registrant’s current address details are not displayed.

“The inclusion of an option to update your home address is a new MySejahtera feature. It was probably introduced as part of Version 1.0.34, which was released on April 24, 2021.

“What the (viral) post failed to point out is that you can update your home address using a separate link,” the committee said.

It clarified that the claim of ‘potential error’ in the MySejahtera vaccination registration system which had been circulating on social media for the past few days was incorrect.

“When you first registered, you have already submitted your home address. There is no need to update your address if it’s still the same. You only need to change it if you are moving to a different location,” the committee explained.

“The feature allows you to change your address without going through the assessment again.”

The committee also said for those who need to update their assessment, for example if they were recently diagnosed with a co-morbidity, the assessment also includes the option to select one’s state and postcode.

The viral post had claimed that registration was incomplete if the MySejahtera app did not display the user’s state and postcode.
