RiamTec to shed light on Miri Smart City via Facebook Live
MIRI: Riam Institute of Technology (RiamTec) will hold a Facebook Live session on May 16 from 11am onwards, to discuss and share details about the Miri Smart City initiatives.
RiamTec is a partner of Miri City Council (MCC) on the Miri Smart City project, in publicising and promoting the project’s concept to the public for a better understanding on the city’s development plan.
“Since early this year, RiamTec has launched a series of publicity activities relating to the project, such as ‘Smart life Awakening’ that was conducted in Mandarin and Malay languages.
“The upcoming live sessions will be our final broadcast on the project that can be viewed through RiamTec Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/ riamtec,” it said in a statement.
The session will be conducted by Dorothy Ma, who is a Cambridge A-Level Biology lecturer at RiamTec, and coordinated by Dr Chong Kim Mee, the programme leaders of the Diploma in Commerce Programme.
Chong is the person in-charge of the project’s series of promotional activities.
“One of the initiatives, ‘Miri Cares’ mobile app, is implemented by MCC to encourage closer interaction with Mirians.
“The promotional effort is to increase awareness among the communities in Miri and educate them on its usage,” said Chong in the statement.
