RiamTec to shed light on Miri Smart City via Facebook Live

MIRI: Riam Institute of Technology (RiamTec) will hold a Facebook Live session on May 16 from 11am onwards, to discuss and share details about the Miri Smart City initiative­s.

RiamTec is a partner of Miri City Council (MCC) on the Miri Smart City project, in publicisin­g and promoting the project’s concept to the public for a better understand­ing on the city’s developmen­t plan.

“Since early this year, RiamTec has launched a series of publicity activities relating to the project, such as ‘Smart life Awakening’ that was conducted in Mandarin and Malay languages.

“The upcoming live sessions will be our final broadcast on the project that can be viewed through RiamTec Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/ riamtec,” it said in a statement.

The session will be conducted by Dorothy Ma, who is a Cambridge A-Level Biology lecturer at RiamTec, and coordinate­d by Dr Chong Kim Mee, the programme leaders of the Diploma in Commerce Programme.

Chong is the person in-charge of the project’s series of promotiona­l activities.

“One of the initiative­s, ‘Miri Cares’ mobile app, is implemente­d by MCC to encourage closer interactio­n with Mirians.

“The promotiona­l effort is to increase awareness among the communitie­s in Miri and educate them on its usage,” said Chong in the statement.
