Senari Synergy reaches out to children under Permata Synergy programme

KUCHING: Senari Synergy Sdn Bhd has reached out to adopted children under their Permata Synergy programme to distribute goodies and necessitie­s in conjunctio­n with the upcoming Hari Raya and Hari Gawai celebratio­ns.

According to the company, the charity work is their yearly commitment to help children of various background adopted by them.

“The programme was launched in 2016 with the aim to financiall­y help eligible underprivi­leged children between six and 12 years. Since then, Senari Synergy has adopted 12 children of various family background,” it said in a press statement yesterday.

Senari Synergy also said the relief assistance is provided through monthly allowance of RM150 per child and school uniforms and stationery through the ‘Back to School’ programme.

The programme is also extended to orphaned children of Senari Synergy staff who passed away three years ago.

“We hope that during this trying time of the Covid-19 pandemic, our distributi­on of goodies and other necessitie­s could bring joy and smile to the less fortunate,”

“We hope to be able to instil the values and virtues of caring, kindness, and forgivenes­s especially in the spirit of Aidilfitri,” said Jefri Ahmad Tambi, who is Senari Synergy group managing director.

Jefri also thanked all staff of Senari Synergy who had personally contribute­d to the event.

Besides its Permata Synergy programme, Senari Synergy also gave festive goodies to Yusuf Manap, a Senari Synergy Port employee who is still on medical leave arising from a major accident two years ago.
