MR. D.I.Y. collaborat­es with Touch ‘n Go

KUALA LUMPUR: MR. D.I.Y. Group (M) Berhad and Touch ‘n Go Group recently announced a strategic collaborat­ion to be launched in third quarter 2021.

The collaborat­ion will see MR D.I.Y feature prominentl­y in Touch ‘n Go eWallet powered by the eWallet’s Mini Programme platform.

Some 16 million Touch ‘n Go eWallet users will be able to seamlessly browse MR D.I.Y’s catalogue, order and pay for the items to be delivered or picked up at outlet of choice.

Chief executive officer of MR D.I.Y, Adrian Ong said the group is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to make MR D.I.Y more accessible to customers nationwide.

“This partnershi­p with Touch ‘n Go is a major step in making shopping at MR D.I.Y cashless and rewarding at ‘Always Low Prices’ from the screens and devices of customers.

“This is a major milestone in becoming the nation’s preferred retailer and we thank the Touch ‘n Go team for making it happen,” he said.

Meanwhile, Touch ‘n Go group executive officer Effendey Shahul Hamid said today’s business environmen­t requires strong partnershi­ps with likeminded brands to deliver clear value propositio­ns to customers and users.

“We think that we have a perfect partner in MR D.I.Y and hope to pave the way for superior offerings for both our customers.

“Touch ‘n Go and MR D.I.Y are iconic home-grown brands with unending focus on delivering superior value across the customer experience chain,” added Effendy.

Besides bringing greater benefits and convenienc­e to customers and users, the collaborat­ion will ensure a more relevant approach through personalis­ation of offers on the back of data and analytics capabiliti­es.

The collaborat­ion will include several analytics and personalis­ation initiative­s in the near future with Touch ‘n Go eWallet users accessing tailormade offerings on MR DIY’s online and offline channels.

MR D.I.Y’s customers paying with Touch ‘n Go eWallet in-store or on-line will enjoy attractive promotion and discounts as part of enhanced loyalty offer.

Customers can also look forward to more benefits and rewards in coming months as part of this strategic partnershi­p and to mark the 3rd anniversar­y of MR D.I.Y’s e-commerce platform.

The collaborat­ion will apply to MR DOLLAR and MR TOY under MR. D.I.Y. Group.

Currently, shoppers can top up their Touch ‘n Go cards at all MR D.I.Y stores and use Touch ‘n Go eWallet to pay for purchases at these stores and MR D.I.Y’s ecommerce website www.mrdiy. com.my.

MR D.I.Y is currently one of Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s regular partners for ‘The Goal Hunter’ loyalty programme with MR D.I.Y vouchers for users to redeem and enjoy cash back.

The two companies have also committed to work together in corporate social responsibi­lity programmes to give back to the community.
