‘Forensic report on paedophile’s phone ready next month’
The report will be received, the latest, by next month. After having obtained the report, we will refer it to the deputy public prosecutor for further action.

SERIAN: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) here are still waiting for forensics report from the Bukit Aman headquarters regarding the content on the phone owned by serial paedophile Alladin Lanim.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail said his side was working together with Bukit Aman Forensics Department in expediting the report.
“The report will be received, the latest, by next month. After obtaining the report, we will refer it to the deputy public prosecutor for further action,” he told reporters at the district police headquarters here yesterday.
Aidi said five children had come forward to lodge police reports against Alladin, adding that most of the children were from the neighbouring areas where Alladin had been residing at.
“We should get much more information and be able to identify them once we have gained access to the content on his (Alladin’s) phone,” he added.
Identified as one of the world’s most wanted paedophiles, Alladin who operated out of Lundu, was finally apprehended recently.
According to a report by Australia’s ‘Sydney Morning Herald’, the capture of the 40year-old man initially stemmed from a multinational internal police report in 2019, which had listed him as one of the top 10 offenders in the world in exploitation of children on the Internet.
Alladin had posted his exploits on the dark web, detailing the abuse that he inflicted on children aged between two and 16, which authorities said he had been doing since 2007.
Alladin was also linked to more than 1,000 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of minors.
For his crimes, Alladin was sentenced to a total of 18 years and six months in prison, and 15 strokes of the cane.
