Pustaka Sarawak hosting virtual talk on ‘gasing’ today
MIRI: The virtual talk on ‘gasing’ (traditional spinning top) today would open a space for the public to learn more about this folk game, which is still being played in the present times.
The ‘Pangkak Gasing’ programme, set for broadcast at 10am today via Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s official Facebook and YouTube platforms, features two top local ‘gasing’ players, Kudi Suboh and Pulo Wan.
The talk is run in conjunction with the ongoing Festival Sarawakiana 2021.
In addition, a virtual art exhibition ‘Young Explorer Expedition’ would be aired tomorrow (Sept 28), starting at noon, also via Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s official Facebook and YouTube platforms.
