19 premises awarded ‘Fair Price Store Awards 2021’

MIRI: Nineteen premises in Miri Division are awarded Fair Price Store Awards 2021 by Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.

Three in Marudi District received the award under eatery, clothes and retail categories. They are HK Restaurant, Sefora Trendy 9, and Sin Chin Hin respective­ly.

The remaining 16 recipients in Miri District are KK Book Centre, Permyjaya and Union Books (stationery/books); Muhibbah Mini Restoran, Selihah Café & Catering, and Soon Lee Coffee Shop (Eatery); Jun Rong Fashion House and Pusat Pakaian HariHari Sdn Bhd (clothes retail); Pasar Mini Keluarga Bekenu Sdn Bhd (mini market); A Hong’s Grocer, Emart Riam Sdn Bhd, Everwin Supermarke­t Sdn Bhd, Everwin (Batu Niah) Trading Sdn Bhd, New World Mart Sdn Bhd, and Ng Sian Hiap Trading Sdn Bhd (supermarke­t); Boulevard Hypermarke­t & Department­al Store Sdn Bhd and Servay Hypermarke­t Sdn Bhd (Hypermarke­t).

The ministry’s head here, Joe Azmi Jamil, in a statement yesterday said the 19 premises were among 150 premises throughout the state chosen to receive the award under various categories.

“The premises were selected based on several criteria such as reasonable prices of goods, quality services, premises’ conducive environmen­t and interestin­g display of goods.

“The annual award is an encouragem­ent for businesses to continue to offer affordable prices whilst providing the best services to the consumers,” said Joe.

He encouraged consumers to contact them through Ez ADU or send email to e-aduan@kpdnhep.gov.my if they found businesses not complying with the law.
