“Many processes are involved in a development project – from initiation until completion – and the key to a successful project delivery lies in good understanding of project management and adhering strictly to the well-established processes as well as executing them effectively,” he said at the launching of Post Contract Project Management for Project Delivery Excellence Course here yesterday.

He also encouraged the course participants to gain knowledge and skills in project management, and urged young officers to pursue higher degree or Masters in this field to enhance the state project deliveries with quality or according to scope of works, timeliness and cost effectiveness.

Most importantly, the completed project must be value for money and ultimately benefit the target group as planned, he said.

The course was a ended by 50 officers from the state Ministry of Transport and Sarawak Rivers Board (SRB).
