Local businessmen bid farewell to retired district police chief
SIBU: Several local businessmen hosted a dinner to bid farewell to former Sibu District police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit recently.
Among them were president of Sibu Chinese Chamber of Commerce Datuk Lau Cheng Kiong, Dato Seri Lau Kueng Chai and Teo Boon Siew.
Stanley, who has a career spanning 39 years, officially retired on Nov 11.
He had served as the district police chief for more than three years.
Kueng Chai, in his brief remarks, praised Stanley for his commitment and dedication in carrying out his duties.
“He has helped in forging closer rapport between the police and the people towards building a better Sibu.”
