10 Lions Clubs collaborate with local businesses to raise RM100,000
MIRI: Ten Lions Clubs under Lions Clubs International 308-A2 Zone 9 and 10 are collaborating with three local businesses to raise RM100,000 for two dialysis machines in a charity food sale.
Lions Club of Miri Host, Lions Club of Miri Central, Lions Club of Marudi Mandarin, Lions Club of Miri Mandarin, Lions Club of Batu Niah, Lions Club of New Century Miri Resort City, Lions Club of Lambir Miri, Lions Club of Lutong, Lions Club of Miri Seahorse and Lions Club of Miri Centennial are collaborating with Borneo Fairy, Seahorse King and Wooden Daiger – The Pie House to produce and sell Acacia honey and chicken mushroom pies.
In a joint press statement, the Lions said that RM15 from every purchase of these two products will be donated to the fund raiser to purchase two dialysis machines for Permyjaya MRC Kidney Dialysis Centre, a non-profit centre for kidney patients residing in northern Miri covering Kuala Baram, Tudan, Permyjaya and Senadin.
“Acacia honey is being sold at special price of RM68 instead of regular price of RM78 each to mark Seahorse King’s anniversary celebration, while a set of five pies from Wooden Daiger- The Pie House is going for RM50.
