KUCHING: The Raising Aspiring Innovative Sarawak Entrepreneurs (RAISE) programmes in 2022 look set to have a greater impact with the collaboration between its joint organisers iCube Innovation Sdn Bhd and Global Entrepreneur Xchange (GEX) with Tabung Gagasan Anak Sarawak (Tegas).

This is according to a statement by iCube on the exchange of memorandum of agreement (MoA) for the collaboration witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at the launch of Tegas Digital Village on Nov 22.

“The collaboration aims to help Sarawakian entrepreneurs to get their business futureready and transform their mindset to be globally focused and innovation-driven thinking.

“This collaboration will empower entrepreneurs, professionals and at least 5,000 students in Sarawak with innovative, strategic, leadership and digital adoption skills and startup fundamentals,” said the statement yesterday.

The programmes for 2022 include R.A.I.S.E Conclave with Waze co-founder Uri Levine, Innovation Masterclass and Digital Adoption Workshop. Entrepreneur clinics lined up focus on Startup, Funding, Branding, Selling and Communication, Leadership and Talent Management.

RAISE Sarawak concluded this year’s programmes with a final workshop – ‘R.A.I.S.E Virtual Workshop: 10 Questions Every Entrepreneur Must Ask’.

Lead coach Karthik Siva, who is also GEX chairman, kicked off the workshop by asking participants, “Does your business matter?”, and proceeded to explain the significance of every question.

“Just like Global Positioning System (GPS) has become so important for vehicles, strategy is just as important if you are running or leading a business,” he said.

Since September, the monthly RAISE Virtual Workshops have ‘raised’ more than 250 participants comprising entrepreneurs and university students.
