My dear respected N73 Piasau voters and residents. Greetings to you and your family members.
I am Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew here. First and foremost, I would like to express my utmost thanks and gratitude to all of you, as you have given me the honour, chance and opportunity to serve you and the people of Miri since 2016 when I was elected as a Sarawak State Assemblyman for the N73 Piasau Constituency. During all these moments since then and up until today, I am very grateful that I have been able to serve you and the community in Miri to the best of my ability.
I still remember the original purpose of why I am here - to serve you and to accomplish this mission together with you successfully. I am still very committed to this mission. With your ongoing support and faith in me, we can continue to walk together further along this journey of service to the people.
Without your strong support over the years and this journey of service, I would not be where I am today.
During these 5 years of commitment, together with my team, we have serviced and carried out our work diligently, continuously and with single-minded dedication for the community in Piasau, Miri and Sarawak as a whole.
We have always visited and made time for people who needed help. We have always done our utmost best within our ability to resolve and lighten the burden of our people.
Together with the support of the Sarawak Government and its resources, we have always strived to provide the necessary assistance for all our people and facilitated the development of Miri.
For the past 5 years, together with my team, we have implemented more than 100 community and people-oriented transformation projects and in the process improved many neighbourhoods, uplifting people’s lives. Even up to the present day, there are still many transformation projects which are underway.
I can foresee the need for even more infrastructure projects, some of which are now at the blueprint stage and will materialise in a near future. These projects will reshape Miri progressively and also develop Miri City into a more advanced and digitalised hub. I am willing to continue serving you towards these achievements. The global spread of the COVID-19 virus has also engulfed Miri and
I do sympathise and understand the helplessness, hopelessness, anguish and anger of those who have suffered and are still suffering.
These sad situations faced by those affected are always on my mind and I do feel your torment gravely. We will continue to do our utmost best to assist in all aspects of welfare to relieve the pain and suffering caused by the pandemic.
In order to assist our economic recovery of Miri, we are also glad to welcome the return of Shell and Petronas operations back to Miri City and together with them the many support services companies. They will play an important and pivotal role in spearheading the rejuvenation of our local economy.
I promise to continue fighting for more economic development here and will also put in extra efforts to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic. I will be together with you every step of this journey.
I do believe that with a determined fighting spirit we can overcome the setbacks caused by the pandemic together, adopting and adapting to the challenges of the new normal.
My core principle in politics is centred on service and being peopleoriented. This has always been my focus and my most motivating desire - serving the people of Miri and Sarawak
In facing the upcoming Sarawak State Election, I am honoured to be nominated by SUPP, under the banner of GPS, to defend the N73 Piasau seat. I humbly appeal to all of you to let me serve you with full dedication for another 5 years.
I promise that I shall continue to uphold my desire and passion in serving the people of Miri and Sarawak as my top priority. Together we can and will be able to secure more development to build a brighter future for all the people in Miri.
Most importantly, let me once more say thank you for your sincere support. It was with your enthusiastic support, that you previously bestowed upon me the privilege to serve you for 5 years. Please be assured that with your continued and resolute support, I shall continue to work for you with full commitment, dedication and energy.
