Free downloadab­le toolkit, open-source beginner’s guide for creative industries

KUCHING: The Hubs For Good Toolkit is a free and opensource beginner’s guide for those managing or seeking to set up creative hubs in Malaysia.

It is aimed at providing future hub managers or existing hub managers who wish to upscale their management skills with the unique set of tools to support them in their journey.

The toolkit is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Made up of best practice examples, case studies and experience­s, the toolkit contains a unique set of seven worksheets and 11 types of resources to aid hub management and project planning.

It will also provide readers with informatio­n on the different ways to navigate hub legalities and partnershi­ps in Malaysia.

The author of the toolkit is Ali Alasri, a research assistant at Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Creative Arts.

Commission­ed by the British Council and Yayasan Sime Darby, it is a collaborat­ion with Malaysian creative hubs to foster the developmen­t of creative industries in Malaysia.
