Sixty golfers go for Texas Scramble at KGS

KUCHING: Stephen Mau Matahari Bujang and Bonny Lee Teck Chung returned a score of 69 to win the Open gross title of the KGS Texas Scramble at Kelab Golf Sarawak (KGS) last Sunday.

Two strokes behind them were Choo Kueh Fong and Yahya Dato Ibrahim while Ferdinand Janting-Francis Chapman li ed the ne title with a 63.

For the novelty prizes, the title of Youngest Pair was given to Sebastian Zane Fong and Rajveer Tarang Singh while Timothy Chan Xi Jin and Jackson Ngu Jia Sion were named the Most Hardworkin­g Pair.

The Biggest Age Gap pair were Tony Heng Boon Huat and Fabian Jong Kah How.

In the Family Sub-Category, winner of the Father & Son gross category were Saxen Hii Shang Yao and Albert Aloyisus Hii who carded a score of 72.

Darren Tan and Ronny Tan Yin Hing took the ne title with a 70.

Meanwhile, the novelty prizes for the Sibling pair were Jason Liew Zhong Han and Jayden Liew Zhong Heng and the Lovely Couple pair were Seok Se Won-Lee Yoon Soo and Dato Zamani Hamdan-Datin Zahara Ag Asin.

The Most Stylish pair were Ting Kee Suen-Lawrence Gan Kang Hai, Best Pose pair Dato Zamani-Datin Zahara.

Francis Chapman won the Nearest To Pin at 88cm.

The Muhibah pairs also went back with prizes and they were Weng@Sharkawi Mohd Ali and Jong Kiam Tzun, Dennis Chong Sing Kong-Fareed Fardauz Khan, Choo Kueh Fong-Yahya Dato Ibrahim, Mohammed Amin-Victor Loong Seah Kiong, Stephen Mau-Bonny Lee, Datuk Jamil Justine Jinggut-Morri Bong Khiong Wei and Sebastian Fong-Rajveer Tarang Singh.

The event a racted 60 participan­ts.
