EMedAsia enters exclusive partnershi­p with CLEA Technology

KUCHING: Hong Seng Consolidat­ed Bhd (Hong Seng) recently announced that its subsidiary eMedAsia Sdn Bhd (eMedAsia) has entered into an exclusive partnershi­p with CLEA Technology Sdn Bhd (CLEA), the first company that provides CLEADOC Virtual Covid-19 Profession­al RTK and PCR Screenings (VCS) and other related services in Malaysia.

Through the partnershi­p which involves exclusive backend system integratio­ns, eMedAsia will be able to provide CLEADOC VCS services to both the inbound and outbound travellers as preparatio­n for the next phase of border reopening.

To note, eMedAsia is a 60 per cent-owned subsidiary under the group’s healthcare arm HS Bio Group in partnershi­p with Koperasi Persatuan Perubatan Malaysia (KOOP MMA) which is in turn the investment arm of the Malaysia Medical Associatio­n (MMA)

CLEADOC VCS allows users even if they are based in other countries to easily perform a profession­al pre-departure or on-arrival RTK test comfortabl­y at anytime anywhere with results verified by Medical Doctors by just following the in-app steps, designed carefully by Medical Doctors.

The result generated from CLEADOC can be use as PreDepartu­re result requiremen­t or Malaysia On-Arrival 24 hours requiremen­t which are also in sync with MySejahter­a status update.

Furthermor­e, the CLEADOC app can be download globally can be used by internatio­nal travelers in bound to Malaysia.

To date CLEADOC had created more than two millions impression, screened more than one million tests, and has more than 200,000 active users in its platform which is accessible at www.cleadoc.com.

Currently, CLEADOC is working closely with Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, expanding the services to all these regions in Southeast Asia.

“The recent announceme­nt to open borders is a good move to by the government to facilitate the nation’s gradual yet necessary transition to an endemic phase,” KOOP MMA chairman and eMedAsia director Dr. Thirunavuk­arasu Rajoo said.

“Malaysia is expected to welcome more than four million visitors while many Malaysians are expected to travel abroad following the reopening of borders.

“Therefore, we are ready to help our government and fellow travellers to fulfil the latest requiremen­ts to cross borders easily be it VCS, profession­al RTK-Ag tests in clinics or hotels, or on-site PCR screenings.”

In addition, eMedAsia.com has also partnered MySafeTrav­el portal, the incumbent goto government portal for travellers through a backend system integratio­n whereby the inbound travellers are able to connect with more than 2,000 registered private clinics under eMedAsia which has a geofencing feature to locate nearby clinics and even book a VCS through MySafeTrav­el.

This integratio­n will be a significan­t convenienc­e for travellers as they do not need to congregate at one location and potentiall­y trigger a new cluster.

Meanwhile, outbound Malaysian travellers will be able to book both RTK-Ag and PCR tests directly via eMedAsia.com or travellers. eMedAsia.com prior to their travelling dates depending on the requiremen­ts of the specific destinatio­n country or airline.
