Car reported missing found abandoned at farm

KUCHING: A car that was recently reported missing was recovered by police at a farm in Jalan Stephen Yong here Tuesday night.

The Padawan district police in a Facebook post said they received a call from a member of the public informing them of a vehicle that was suspiciously abandoned at the location.

Police personnel dispatched to the farm discovered that the silver-coloured sedan was believed to have been fitted with fake licence plates.

A subsequent check of the vehicle’s chassis number confirmed that a report on the missing car had been filed at Sekama police station.

The Facebook post also advised the public to immediately call the Padawan district police via their hotline 082-862233, if they come across any suspicious activities in their area.
