CIMB introduces OctoTravel, Malaysia’s first bank-linked one-stop travel site

KUCHING: CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd (CIMB) have launched CIMB OctoTravel (OctoTravel), Malaysia’s first bank-linked travel site and mobile application that is specially curated for CIMB credit, debit and prepaid card customers to enjoy a one-stop experience for their travel needs.

CIMB cardholders can enjoy worry-free holidays with complimentary Covid-19 insurance coverage and travel protection on top of attractive deals and packages.

OctoTravel offers competitive flight and hotel fares for both domestic and international travel, providing customers superior value when purchasing tickets through the travel site.

Bookings made using CIMB credit cards will also be eligible for ‘travel now, pay later’ as OctoTravel offers zero per cent instalment plans of up to 12 months with a minimum spend of RM300, allowing customers the flexibility to manage their travelling expenses.

OctoTravel is a collaboration between CIMB and Corporate Information Travel (CIT), an established and top travel management company, specialising in independent travel, business trips and leisure holidays for more than 35 years.

“The launch of OctoTravel is timely as many Malaysians are eager to explore and restart travel activities given the recent easing of travel restrictions within the country and abroad,” CIMB Group chief executive officer of group consumer banking Samir Gupta said.

To coincide with the launch of OctoTravel, CIMB is offering exclusive travel deals (terms and conditions apply) within the platform.

OctoTravel customers can enjoy flight deals including 10 per cent off for international flights both business and economy class seats.

Customers are also entitled to various hotel deals including ‘Stay 3 Nights, Pay for 2’ for fourstar and five-star international hotel stays, as well as 10 per cent off for international hotel stays.

To cap it off, CIMB is also offering customers 50 per cent Cash Back on all purchases for flights, hotels and tour bookings capped at RM100 monthly for each cardholder.
