Driving school opens branch in Serian
SERIAN: Siburan Driving Institute Sdn Bhd has taken steps to establish a candidate registration centre (PPC) in Serian town to meet the needs and demands of residents in the Serian, Tebedu and nearby areas.
According to Chung Khen Fui, who is director of the Siburan Driving Institute, the creation of the centre was due to many individuals from the Serian and Tebedu areas travelling all the way to Siburan just to register for driving lessons from them.
“We found it very inconvenient in terms of transportation for those who come to Siburan just to register so we decided to set up an office to provide facilities and services in the Serian area,” he explained when contacting The Borneo Post recently.
According to Chung, the centre is located at Serian Piazza, Level One, No. 26 near the Lepapa supermarket, and next to Sen Sen shopping mall.
Services offered by the centre are assistance for applying for driving licences such as Class E (motorlorry), Class H (wheeled machinery), Class B and B2 (motorcycle) as well as Class DA (automatic transmission car), Class D (manual transmission car), KPP 01 course, special illiteracy course and GDL licence service.
To celebrate the opening of the centre at Serian Piazza in conjunction with the Gawai Dayak festival, Chung said special discounts for tuition fees will be given from May 11 to May 31 this year and preferential treatment will be given to candidates registering at the PPC in Serian.
“We thus hope that anyone interested in applying for a driving licence will register at any of our PPC offices as soon as possible,” he said.
Chung also said that one can visit any of the Siburan Driving Institute PPCs or call 016-8683386 or 016-8869167 for more details on the services provided by them.
