Nearly 40 startups chosen for MOSTI’s first MYStartup pre-accelerator programme
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 36 top-quality early-stage startups have been selected to participate in the MYStartup Pre-Accelerator programme recently launched by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).
In a joint statement, MOSTI and the implementing agency, Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, said the programme seeks to inspire earlystage startups while offering ‘money-can’t-buy’ guidance and coaching in implementing business strategies, access to market and funding.
Under the programme that started on May 12, participants will undergo a rigorous fourstage selection process before securing other benefits such as networking opportunities with key industry players, potential investors, and business experts.
They also stand to benefit from the overall mentoring theme of the programme which consists of masterclass sessions, mentoring sessions, a midterm review, and access to on-demand learning courses.
“However, the actual perks that await the participating startups are at the tail end of the programme.
“Successful finalists of the Demo Day stand a chance to receive potential funding in the form of a grant from Cradle under its CIP SPARK funding programme valued up to RM150,000,” the statement said.
This, it said, is in addition to investment and acceleration opportunities of up to RM50,000 as well as an offer of joining BEYOND4’s very own accelerator programme.
BEYOND4 Ecosystem consists of five digitally integrated multitier accelerators, designed for all talent, from university all the way to nurturing and investing in start-up founders.
